ROYAL DOULTON BRAND AMBASSADORS

Royal DoultonMICHAEL DOULTON, Brand Ambassador

Michael Doulton is a direct descendant, or the great, great, great grandson of John Doulton, the founder of Royal Doulton. Educated in England and France, Michael spent most of his young adult life in Australia. In 1976, Michael returned at the request of his father, Sherwood Doulton, to take a more active role in the family business, serving as a traveling ambassador for the company.

Since 1980, Michael's has served as the Royal Doulton Brand Ambassador and Spokesperson -- appearing on television shows and meeting thousands of loyal collectors face-to-face at retail store events around the world.

With 30 years of experience as the ambassador to the brand, Michael's knowledge of the company and its products is what draws Royal Doulton consumers and collectors to any Michael Doulton Event. Michael's vast product knowledge enables him to enlighten collectors seeking information about new and discontinued pieces. In addition, these face-to-face meetings allow collectors the opportunity to share their unique experiences and stories, as well as have their prized collectables personally autographed by Michael.

Michael's yearly international tour traditionally includes stops in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia. The exact location of Michael Doulton Events are not always in the same location from year-to-year... so consumer and collectors should make the most of attending any event that occurs in and around their area.

Asked about his experience and role with Royal Doulton, Michael Doulton responded, "I have vowed to stay actively involved in the business, something my father always wanted. As the brand's ambassador, I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting thousands of loyal consumers and collectors. Where ever I go, it's rewarding to see and hear first-hand how the company started by my great, great, great grandfather continues to bring joy to so many people's lives."
