Although originating in Paris in the 1830's as a dance in which male students were the main participants, it wasn't until the latter part of the 19th century that the "Can Can" was further developed by women and became fully realized by the 1920's. The instantly recognizable "French Can Can" dance is highly energetic & physically demanding, with its high kicking, manipulation of the skirts & provocative body movements. The French Can Can HN 5571, is Hand Made and Hand Decorated from Bone China. Each are individually numbered, with a limited edition of 2500.
